BMW Has Unveiled CE 04 Electric Scooter In India

The 2023 S 1000 RR and the CE 04 were both introduced by BMW in India at the same time. The futuristic-looking electric scooter's 8.9kWh lithium-ion battery offers it a 130km range on a single charge.

Features of BMW CE 04 E-scooter

The CE 04 has a narrow front apron, large side panels, and a slender tail section with a bench-like seat. Storage compartments are also incorporated into the sides and front of the BMW CE 04 e-scooter. In a vented mobile charging compartment, there is also a Type-C USB charging socket.

A permanent magnet motor is mounted in the steel frame of the BMW CE 04 between the battery and the back wheel. It has a rated power of 15 kW and a maximum output of 31 KW or 42 hp (20 hp). According to reports, the CE 04 can accelerate from 0 to 50 kph in 2.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 120 kph.

The floorboard of the CE 04 houses the 8.9kWh lithium-ion battery that powers the motor. The scooter can go 130 kilometres on a single charge, according to BMW. The battery can be fully charged using a 2.3kW charger in 4 hours and 20 minutes. However, that time is shortened to one hour and forty minutes using a 6.9kW fast charger.

Three riding modes are included by default on the BMW CE 04: Eco, Road, and Rain. Traction control is also a feature. You may access the ride modes via the large 10.25-inch, high-resolution TFT display, which provides full smartphone connectivity. On the dash, there is also a split function for navigation and other riding capabilities.

The CE 04 is made of tubular steel and has a single-sided swingarm connected to a mono-shock with preload adjustment that is mounted to a 35mm telescopic fork at the front. The scooter's front and back wheels are 15 inches in diameter and have 120-section and 160-section tyres, respectively.

Braking is accomplished with a single disc in the back and two 265mm discs. BMW offers ABS Pro, which has a cornering function, as an option in addition to ABS, which is a requirement.

BMW offers the CE 04 electric scooter in two different colour schemes throughout the world. The Avant-Garde Style trim has a Magellan Grey metallic colour, a black/orange seat, and an orange wind deflector, while the normal one is light white with matte black portions.

Given the popularity of the C 400 GT maxi-scooter and the fact that BMW hasn't yet announced its plans for the CE 04 electric scooter in India, it is highly likely that the business will. In terms of price, the CE 04 is roughly twice as expensive as the C 400 GT overseas. If the trend continues, it won't cost much more than an Indian R 1250 GS.
