Himalayan Drive 2022 Ends At Mussoorie

Team Firefox organized the Himalayan Drive 2022 that drove into Mussoorie, retracing the 82 Himalayan Rally route from Rishikesh via Dhanaulti. The long-term partner of the event is Mahindra Adventure which provided 15 support vehicles.

The Mahindra Xuv 700, driven by Jayant Shah's family, who won the Himalayan Rally, was the first vehicle to leave Delhi on October 31. Over 40 people participated in the drive and followed the course of the 1982 Himalayan Rally. PrinaSoni, Priya, and their brother Kalpesh, who travelled a great distance to celebrate their father Jayant Shah's victories on this historic occasion, were the first people to arrive in a car at The Welcomhotel Savoy.

The second vehicle was a Mahindra Thar driven by a Kenyan named SurinderThatthi, who placed third overall in the 82 events. "We are delighted and privileged to be present for the Himalayan journey to commemorate dad for his triumph in the 1982 rally. I'm happy that my sister, brother, and spouse are here with me for this celebration so they may ride the route and experience the memories. I'm glad that rally participants and individuals of like minds have come together to hear the fantastic tales of those who took part in the real event back in 1982. We are very grateful to the organizers for providing us with a fantastic automobile to use on tour. "I wonder how all the participants drove at high speed on these dangerous roads," Prina said. We only admired the Himalayas' natural splendor.

The first day's trip came to an end in Bhimtal, and the following day's very difficult 250-kilometre trek over the mountains via Almora, Bageshwar, Kausani, and Gwaldam began early. The beautiful vistas of the snow-capped peaks were visible to the participants at Kausani and the Gwaldam Forest Rest House, which served as the location for the lunch break.

The final days run to Mussoorie on the 4th via Dhaualagiri to Dhanaulti. Zero traffic with another classic rally route kept everybody spellbound. Many lady drivers drove their cars on the whole route, a special word of appreciation to SnigdhaPalchoudhri, Ayushi Amin, MeenaDalal, Shaneen Parikh, Lakshmi Narayanan, Deepa, KanchanaRajsekhar, and RekhaNiranjan.

On the last day's run, a virtually empty track with minimal traffic and another traditional rally route held everyone's attention. All of the vehicles, including the two vintage Mahindra CJ 3B and Mahindra Classic, completed the course. A particular word of thanks goes to Ayushi Amin, SnigdhaPalchoudhri, Shaneen Parikh, MeenaDalal, Deepa, Lakshmi Narayanan, RekhaNiranjan, and KanchanaRajsekhar, who all drove their automobiles, the entire journey.

According to foreign participants from Kenya, the UK, the USA, and all of India, the Himalayan Ranges' natural splendor is incomparable to that of the Alps. Team Firefox was very happy that everyone had joined up for the Himalayan Challenge to The Roof of the World for the following year.
