Honda is gearing up to make a splash in the Indian electric scooter market with its soon-to-be-released model, which promises more than 100km of range. Recent teasers revealed a lot of exciting facts about this motorcycle, indicating it borrows from the international version of Honda CUV e: scooter.
The Indian version of the Honda electric scooter will carry two display options: a small LCD unit and a larger TFT display. The top variant will boast the same big TFT dash as the CUV e:, offering a sleek and modern interface for the rider. The features packed into the TFT display range include smartphone connectivity for navigation and even displaying notifications on the screen directly.
It also shows that the scooter has two riding modes: Standard and Sport. These modes mean the riders can enjoy efficiency or performance, whichever suits their riding requirement the most.
A Bigger Battery for Greater Range
One feature of the Indian Honda electric scooter that is quite eye-catching is its range. The teaser does mention a range of 104km full charge at 100% state of charge (SOC) - much higher than the 72km range achieved by the CUV e:.
While exact battery capacity has not been detailed, a larger battery may also necessitate a new frame or otherwise upgraded structure to hold it. This remains undecided, but Honda could decide on having a removable battery pack, similar to that seen on the CUV e:, or a fixed pack similar to those used in electric scooters.

Shared Components with the CUV e:
Indian Honda e-scooter is similar in a number of parts to its international edition CUV e:. It shares the same motor and TFT display besides offering reliable and tested performance. With all these similarities, the Indian model is likely to offer India-specific customizations to fit in more aptly within the local market.
Expected to be a strong contender in the Indian EV market, the Honda electric scooter will boast extended range, modern features, and advanced technology. Design, specifications, and features of the electric scooter will be clearer after its official unveiling on November 27.
