Jaguar embarks on a new chapter ahead of its all-electric relaunch in 2026. The legendary British carmaker owned by Tata Motors has unveiled a brand-new logo, a new style look at its leaping cat, and some bold marketing slogans - "delete ordinary." This is part of the transformation the company planned to put up to change people's view of the brand and boldly take the leap into the world of electric cars.

Jaguar had announced it will be going fully electric in 2021. As the company continues into this exciting new future, it nixed new car sales over a year ago. Its managing director, Rawdon Glover, said it was deliberate that the company halted selling new Jaguars so as to neatly separate old and new Jaguar. People are meant to see Jaguar in a whole new light.

The new logo reads as "JaGUar" and uses both upper and lower case letters; it is, therefore, sexy and contemporary. Jaguar also restyled the leaping cat emblem, giving it a modern look to symbolize the bold creative direction that has characterized the brand. "Our founder, Sir William Lyons, wanted Jaguar to be different, and this transformation remains true to that vision," says Chief Creative Officer Gerry McGovern.

A New Bold Style

Jaguar's new policy is called "exuberant modernism," an attitude of boldness, creativity, and artistic nature. The company has released a colorful advertisement in which models wearing striking costumes are shown painting walls, breaking down barricades, and sitting in a pink desert. Words like "create exuberant" and "live vivid" flash across the screen, making one focus on creativity and individuality.

Interestingly, the ad doesn’t show any cars. This sparked comments online, including a lighthearted remark from Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who joked, “Do you sell cars?”

What’s Next for Jaguar?

Jaguar plans to launch three electric cars in 2026, starting with a four-door GT built in Solihull, West Midlands. This marks a new era for the company, which aims to combine luxury, sustainability, and creativity in its future vehicles.

Jaguar is writing a new book, literally, with fresh design, bold ideas, and a very significant emphasis on electric vehicles, rewriting itself to lead the charge into an exciting, cleaner world of cars.
