MG Motor India has informed the public about some excellent alterations seen in the Comet electric car such as a new, rapid method of charging it. They've done it as well by adding some amazing new features. What comes next is the price range of MG Comet which is from Rs 6.99 lakh to Rs 9.14 lakh.

What's New with the MG Comet?

Previously, the Comet came in three versions: Pace, Play, and Plush showcases the K9 collection and introduces the K10, a mind-blowing new collection that will knock your socks off. In the past, they rewrote the names of these cars as Executive, Excite, and Exclusive. The major feature of LG models is that they can drink twice the volume in half the time. The Rs 20,000 juicer than the Plush was not changed, however the Exhilaration version of the Excited is now.

Upgrades and New Features

Before, the Comet only came with a slow 3.3kW charger, but now there's a quicker 7.4kW charger available for the fancier models. While MG hasn't said how fast this charger will fill up the battery, for comparison, the old charger took seven hours to fully charge the Comet.

Cars with the faster charger also get some extra goodies like back wheel brakes, a parking brake that works at the push of a button, stability control, hill start help, mirrors that fold themselves and match the car's color, and a feature that helps the car move slowly in traffic. These additions bump up the price by Rs 56,000, but they're worth it for what you get.

How Far Can the Comet Go?

The Comet uses a 17.3kWh battery electric system and can cover a range of 230km (6 stop) when fully charged. It comes with a single motor driving the rear wheels, which have 42hp @ 170Nm of torque. Its very small size and the fact that it is 100% electric makes it very unique and doesn't have many tools to compare it to. Coming in close are say basic Tata Tiago EV, which though has a slightly bigger battery 19.2 kWh and goes slightly farther 250km.
