Ruhaan Alva wins LGB Formula 4 Champion in JK NRC 2023

MSport's Ruhaan Alva secured the LGB Formula 4 title at the conclusion of the 2023 JK Tyre National Racing Championship (JK NRC) held at the Kari Motor Speedway. Arjun S Nair claimed the Novice Cup title, and Abhishek Vasudev emerged victorious in the Royal Enfield Continental GT Cup. With a dominant season, Sarvesh Balappa achieved a clean sweep and secured the JK Tyre 250 Cup title. The championship witnessed stellar performances and exciting victories across multiple categories.

In the LGB Formula 4 series, the opening day showcased race wins for Ruhaan Alva, Arya Singh, and Tijil Rao. Initially leading by 20 points over Singh, Alva's title seemed secured, but a post-event scrutiny altered the standings. Points were deducted for Alva and Momentum Motorsport Novice Cup drivers after a Round 2 investigation. The championship battle intensified into the last race, where Rao secured victory, but Alva's climb from P8 to P2 secured the title with a final tally of 82 points. Singh and Rao share the second spot with 71 points each.

JK Tyre Novice Cup

With an impressive four race victories this season, Nair secured the JK Tyre Novice Cup title, amassing a total of 82 points. His Momentum Motorsport teammate Neythan McPherson secured the second position with 53 points, outperforming Joel Joseph from DTS Racing, who finished third with 44 points.

Royal Enfield Continental GT Cup

The Royal Enfield Continental GT Cup featured a diverse grid of amateur and professional racers competing on race-prepped Continental GT-R650s. Bengaluru riders dominated, with Abhishek Vasudev (54 points) clinching the title, surpassing Jagadeesh Nagara (45 points) and Ullas S Nanda (39 points).

JK Tyre 250 Cup

Sarvesh Balappa achieved a clean sweep in the JK Tyre 250 Cup, where competitors raced on Suzuki Gixxer 250cc bikes. Securing victory in all three races this season, Balappa was crowned the champion. Sachin Jothees secured the second position, followed by S Govidharaj in third place.
