Save the Dates for 2024 Formula Bharat, January 19-24

Get ready for the eighth edition of the Formula Bharat student competition, happening at Coimbatore's Kari Motor Speedway from January 19-24, 2024. With 26 combustion teams and 31 electric teams joining from India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Dubai, and Nepal, this promises to be an exciting event. The 2024 Formula Bharat at Kari Motor Speedway welcomes visitors from January 20-24.

Formula Bharat

Every year, Formula Bharat gives a challenge to engineering students: create formula-style prototype vehicles. The goal is to let students apply what they've learned in classrooms by designing and building real cars. The competition has two parts – Combustion and Electric. Teams must find sponsors to fund their projects, making it a great practice for future careers in the automotive industry.

For six days, a group of experts will judge the teams based on design, cost, marketability, and how well the cars perform on the track at Kari Motor Speedway. There are various tests to check things like speed, handling, and durability of the prototypes. It's a hands-on way for students to learn about building cars and get ready for the automotive world.

In the previous Formula Bharat competition, Veloce Racing from Vishwakarma Institute of Technology emerged victorious in the Combustion category. Simultaneously, STES Stallion Motorsport Electric from Kashibai Navale College of Engineering claimed the top spot in the electric category.
