The international market witnessed the coming of the new facelifted Lexus ES sedan. This comes with a refreshed design as well as upgraded features. Unveiled at Auto Guangzhou, China, the updated ES continues to run strong in the international arena, including in India, where it makes up a significant percentage of Lexus' sales.
What’s New on the Outside?
The updated Lexus ES boasts a new bold design with a reworked spindle grille inspired by the RX SUV. Sharper headlights, with matrix LED technology and new boomerang-shaped DRLs, fill up the side. At the back of the car, L-shaped LEDs are made up of an LED light bar that links them for a sleek, modern look. These updates give a refined appeal with the elegant character of the ES remaining intact and are sure to be a standout in their class.
Upgrades Inside the Cabin
Inside, the ES facelift offers a cabin more streamlined and modern than before. There's now a 14-inch touchscreen that replaces many physical buttons here and houses controls for the climate system and other functions. Its minimalistic design, especially around the center console and gear lever, lends to a clean and sophisticated look.
Lexus introduces a new trim called "Silver Lance Moon Ridge" that will be draped from the dashboard and car doors. Special interior themes for the Chinese market are available, such as Snowy Night White or two-tone Tanzanite Snow Night, giving an added sense of exclusivity and personalization.

Mechanicals and India Launch
Mechanics-wise, the Lexus ES remains unchanged. The fuel source of the car in India is a 218hp, 2.5-litre petrol-electric hybrid engine. Lexus has priced the sedan between ₹64 lakh and ₹69.70 lakh, where it competes with the likes of Mercedes-Benz E-Class, BMW 5 Series, and Volvo S90.
While there is no confirmed date for the launching of India, the facelifted Lexus ES is also scheduled for next year with this promise of luxury and style along with advanced hybrid technology. The new Lexus ES, designed with updated front-end styling and upgraded features, promises an elevated driving experience while still holding on to its appeal as a refined and reliable luxury sedan.
