India is among the few countries with both a prominent Grand Prix race and a top-notch Formula 1 track. Along with hosting the ICC Cricket World Cup, the Commonwealth Games, and the 2017 FIFA U-17 Football World Cup, the nation has the entire necessary fundamental infrastructure to develop gifted athletes and help them achieve their sporting goals.

The Madras Motor Race Track in Chennai and the Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore are the two most popular race circuits, along with the Buddh International Circuit in Uttar Pradesh. These tracks provide gifted racers with the chance to hone their craft and compete against the best in the nation.

• Buddh International Circuit, Greater Noida

On October 30, 2011, it hosted the first-ever Indian Grand Prix after being formally opened on October 18, 2011. One of the biggest companies in India, the Jaypee Group, owns the whole plant. Hermann Tilke, a German architect and the course designer for Formula One Management, created it.

The majority of F1 drivers praised the architecture of the 16-corner track after racing on it, calling it "one of the greatest modern circuits created in the world." The FIA honoured the Grand Prix producers' efforts by giving them the "Best Promoter Trophy" at its annual prize-gala event for two consecutive years, in 2011 and 2012.

The track is also accessible during Track Days when numerous top manufacturers use the venue for promotional activities and testing. The public may use Arrive and Drive, the BIC Tour, and taxi rides, among other amenities. Numerous vehicle award presentations and music performances have also taken place on the grounds of the sizable building constructed inside the Japyee Sports Complex.

• Madras Motor Race Track, Chennai

India's first circuit is a permanent racetrack that is 3.74 kilometres long and is located in Irungattukottai, Chennai. It was constructed in the late 1980s and was opened in 1990. The small club track, which is just 2.1 kilometres long, has seven turns, but the circuit, which is clockwise, has 12 bends overall.

Previously known as the Irungattukotai Race Track, the FIA and FIM-certified raceway was also granted the Grade 2 licence in 2015 to host motorcycle competitions in all categories as well as automobile competitions in multiple categories, such as GT, sportscar, touring car racing, and events like the IndyCar, with the exception of Formula 1.

Two times, in 2007 and 2016, the track's surface was replaced, and further work is still being done to offer an Indian facility that meets international standards. The main straight was recently enlarged to meet the drag criteria so that the track could hold the National Drag Championship. This was part of recent efforts to build its own dragstrip. The Madras Motor Sports Club, which oversees the track and has a busy programme all year long, is also developing a new testing facility nearby.

The FIM-backed Asia Road racing was held at the venue between 2009 and 2011 and again in 2013. The circuit has also played home to other notable international events. The MRF Challenge (F2000), the MRF F1600 series, the LGB F1300, the Volkswagen one-make, the National Touring Cars, the National Motorcycle, and the one-make Motorcycle championships have all been frequent features on the single-seaters side. The circuit also has a section set aside for off-road Supercross competitions.

The track is utilized for car and bike testing outside of the typical racing events by manufacturers as well as the top automotive publications, newspapers, and websites to gain a deeper knowledge of each vehicle. 

• Kari Motor Speedway, Coimbatore

The 2.1 km long, purpose-built racetrack, situated in Chettipalayam, Coimbatore, was opened in 2003 and is named for the late racer and designer SundaramKarivardhan.
Looking back to its past, a portion of the existing racing track was formerly a power glider runway and a component of Karivardhan's aircraft manufacturing business.

Similar to Madras Motor Race Track, Kari Motor Speedway has staged a variety of motor racing competitions, including the National Touring Car Championship, the Volkswagen One-Make Series, and the JK Tyre and MRF Single-Seater Championship. The National Karting Championship races are also held at this track.

Similar to the Madras Motor Race Track, numerous Indian auto magazines and websites use this track for vehicle testing and ranking. Many Indian racing schools, both two- and four-wheel, have their headquarters at Kari Motor Speedway.
